With almost 50 years of accounting experience, Chris has a wide range of clientele that includes small and large corporations. He has worked in various industries, with a significant understanding of governmental regulations pertaining to different businesses. Formerly he has served as Finance Manager of a ship chartering company that involved international travel as well as a Financial Controller of a private firm specialising in broadcast media.
His expertise includes general accounting, taxes, and financial law. Chris managed a team of up to 20 staff as a Finance Manager. He has rendered services across varying sectors including media, marketing, and healthcare with a total turnover of £21m.
Chris’ extensive background in finance spans over four decades making him a certified financial expert which includes: Managing the operation of the account, Costing new jobs including labour, materials and overhead costs, Annual Statutory Accounts and Group Consolidated Accounts, Budgets and Forecasts, Group Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounts Reconciliations, Foreign Exchange Translations for European Associated Companies, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, Cost Control to ensure all costs are allocated to correct projects, Bank reconciliations, VAT, PAYE/NIC, and Corporation Tax, Internal Audit and Control Accounts, Payroll analysis including annual returns remuneration and P11Ds, Fixed Asset Registers and Capitalisations, Statutory Returns and Quarterly Statistics, as well as Pensions and Staff Benefits.
Chris is also highly proficient in accounting tools and systems with practical experience in Sage Line 50, Sage Line 100, Sage Payroll, Xero Accounting, Protean software, VT + Accounting, MoneySoft, Pegasus, Olas, Oracle, Fidelio, and Microsoft Office software.
